A 47-year-old Moncton, NB, man was charged after a break-and-enter at a business over the weekend.

Kodiak Regional RCMP responded to an alarm at a business on St. George Street just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Once on scene, police determined that a man had forced entry into the building and several items had been stolen.

Police say a 47-year-old man was located nearby and was arrested without incident.

During the arrest, police said they seized several items from the man, including an angle grinder that matched the description of a similar tool reported stolen to police.

Matthew Alexander Buck appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Monday and was charged with break-and-enter and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

He has been remanded and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
