Mumbai: Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan, who played the role of the father-in-law (Ali Fazal) in popular web series Mirzapur, passed away on Friday. He was hospitalized after a heart attack, but died late at night. Shahnawaz Pradhan was also in the popular Doordarshan serial Alf Leela where he played the role of Sinbad Jaji.

Shahnawaz Pradhan was 56 years old and had gone to attend a function where he complained of pain and was rushed to the hospital. Her husband Rajesh Telang confirmed the news on social media. At the same time, more artists like Pratima Kazmi have informed about this on social networks.

Shahnawaz Pradhan shot to fame after playing Guddu Bhiya’s father-in-law in Mirzapur. Shahnawaz also rose to fame earlier in the 80s when he started his acting career and played the role of Nand in the Sri Krishna show Doordarshan. Shahnawaz Pradhan was born in a middle class family in Odisha. At the age of 7, he moved to Raipur with his family and performed on stage for the first time in 7th standard and that’s when his interest in acting grew.
