The Minister of Health of the Indian state of Orissa was shot twice in the chest for unknown reasons and fled.
Indian press According to the news Orissa State Health Minister Naba Kishore Das was shot twice by the ASI near Gandhi Chowk when he arrived to attend the function at 1 pm.
One of the two bullets hit him in the chest and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died of serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses say that as soon as the Minister of Health got out of his car, the police officer on duty fired two shots into his chest from a service pistol.
The health minister was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he was airlifted to Bhubaneswar, where he is undergoing a complex operation under the supervision of a specialist doctor.
A police spokesman says the assistant inspector who fired at the health minister has been identified as Gopal Das. The motive for the incident has not yet been determined, but additional investigations are underway.
