Punjab Governor Baligur Rehman on Monday decided to implement the orders of the Lahore High Court (LHC) to give confidence to the stakeholders in the matter of holding the elections within 90 days.
According to 24News HD television channel, the governor of Punjab has called an important meeting to discuss this issue on Tuesday, February 14, at the governor’s house in Lahore.
According to a TV channel report, the meeting was called in view of the order of the Lahore High Court to fix the date of elections in Punjab.
The Secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also been invited by the governor’s house to this meeting to consult about the date of election.
The report said that the Chief Secretary Punjab and the IG Police will also attend the meeting on February 14 at the Punjab Governor’s house.
