A parliamentary bulletin issued on Saturday said there would be no zero hour and question time in both houses of parliament on the first two days of the budget session. The budget session of Parliament will begin on January 31 in the central hall with President Draupadi Murmu addressing both the Houses. On the second day of the session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha. Later, the budget will be presented in the Rajya Sabha.

The members of the parliament are informed that due to the address of the president, it will be presented to both houses on January 31, and the budget of the Union will be presented on February 1, the bulletin says. It added that members will also be informed that important public issues raised during Zero Hour will be considered from February 2, 2023. From February 2, both the Houses will take up the ‘Objection to the President’s Message’ after which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respond in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

This part of the budget session will continue until February 13. The second part of the budget session will start on March 13 after the vacation until April 6. In this section, the demand for grants for various ministries is discussed and the Union budget is approved.

During this period, other legislative works will also be started at the initiative of the government.
