PDM Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rahmon and former President Asif Ali Zardari met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In the meeting at the Prime Minister’s house, the election strategy in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the current political situation of the country were discussed.

In this meeting, Shahbaz Sharif told the allies about the difficult conditions of the IMF and difficult economic conditions. After the consultation, it was decided to protect the difficult economic decisions together.

Political stability is necessary for economic stability, and the Prime Minister is committed to this. The Prime Minister said that difficult decisions have become inevitable in the current economic conditions.

On the other hand, the political situation of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was also discussed at the PML-N political committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Election Commission of Pakistan informed the governor of Punjab province and the governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa about the possible dates of provincial assemblies.

The Election Commission has written to the governors of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in separate letters that the provincial general elections in Punjab may be held between April 9 and 13, while the elections for the KP assembly may be held between April 15 and 17.
