The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued instructions for holding local elections in Azad Kashmir.
The secretary of the election commission said that each of its members should act according to the party’s policy, and in case of violation of this instruction, one of its members may be declared illegal in the election.
According to the ECP, if any member supports a candidate of another party after winning the election, then that member can be disqualified on the written application of the president or his party chairman. Meanwhile, the electoral authority urged the parties to inform voters about the party’s policies.
