Web Desk: Education boards across Punjab have increased registration fees for admissions and intermediate papers.

This decision was welcomed by the marking staff. Following this decision, the marking rate has been increased to Rs 5 per paper. As per the details, examinees checking more than 50 papers in admission will be charged Rs 45 per paper and those checking less than 50 will be charged Rs 35 per paper.

Similarly, for checking more than 50 intermediate papers, Rs 50 per paper will be charged, while in Inter, examinees checking less than 50 copies will be charged Rs 40 per paper.

The Assistant Superintendent of Examinations will be paid Rs.3.50 per paper for examination. At the same time, the examiners have also demanded that these payments be made without tax deduction.

More than 17% tax is levied on the award which is declared unfounded by the examination officials.
