The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested senior journalist and TV presenter Imran Riyaz Khan from the airport. Imran Riyaz Khan’s mobile phone and other belongings were confiscated.
The FIA team arrested journalist Imran Riyaz from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. Imran Riyaz had to go from Lahore to Dubai.
Imran Riyaz Khan was arrested for controversial statements.
According to FIA sources, Imran Riyaz Khan will be presented to the local court today.
Imran Riyaz Khan’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, confirmed his arrest and said that Imran Riyaz was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Branch.
The representative further said that Imran Riyaz was arrested at Lahore airport. The details of the case opened against them have not been disclosed.
He further said that there is a law against FIA arrest.
It is worth mentioning that Imran Riyaz Khan was also arrested on his way to Islamabad in Attock in July last year, but a few days later, the Lahore High Court released him on bail on a petition against his arrest.
