ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Shaukat Tareen yesterday.

According to details, FIA summoned former finance minister Shaukat Tareen yesterday over the alleged audio call between PTI leader Shaukat Tareen and Finance Minister KP Taimur Saleem Jhagra.

The Federal Investigation Agency has directed former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen to appear at the Islamabad Zonal Office at 10 am on Wednesday.

The FIA notice says that if you do not appear, you will be deemed to have nothing to say in defence.

It should be noted that a few weeks ago an audio of Shaukat Tareen was leaked in which he was talking to Punjab Finance Minister Mohsin Leghari and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Taimur Jhagra separately. In the alleged audio call, Shaukat Tareen advised the two leaders on how to respond to the federal government in the wake of the IMF deal.
