In an interview with a foreign news agency, Pope Francis said that God loves all His creations equally.
The need to distinguish between a crime and a sin in relation to homosexuality will oppose any discriminatory legislation against homosexuals.
He acknowledged that Catholic bishops in some parts of the world support anti-gay laws.
He said that some 67 countries of the world consider homosexual activity a crime, and 11 countries can introduce the death penalty for this crime.
