ISLAMABAD (News agency) Inspector General of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Police Muazzam Jah Ansari was replaced a few days ago in Peshawar police line.
After the deadly mosque attack, the federal government decided to replace Muazzam Jah Ansari. The establishment department was sent a shortlist of three names for the new IGP, including Muhammad Saeed Khan, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur and Sohail Tajik. Now establishment department has also issued a notification for the appointment of Akhtar Hayat Gandapur as IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Akhtar Hayat Gandapur was earlier appointed as Additional Deputy Director General of FIA. Akhtar Hayat Gandapur will take over after Muazzam Jah Ansari. leaves the charge.
