Rabbi Yaakov Glassman said it was an “absolute honor and privilege” to represent St Kilda Shule and the state and federal rabbinate at His Majesty King Charles’ official announcement ceremony at Government House.

Rabbi Glassman was invited to the ceremony by Victoria Governor Linda Desau, as well as her husband and former county court judge Anthony Howard.

“The governor’s speech was deeply moving, warmly welcoming the ascension of Her Majesty the King, and eloquently expressing the immense love and admiration so many have for Her Majesty the Queen,” shared Rabbi Glassman.

Rabbi Glassman also signed a book of condolence for the queen during the ceremony.

“In terms of the Royal Family, it was the second most memorable day of my life,” he said.
