Veteran poet and writer Amjad Islam Amjad died on Friday at the age of 78 in Lahore.
According to his family, the literary icon of Pakistan died of a heart attack.
Amjad Islam Amjad is also a recipient of the Star of Imtiaz book and author of more than 40 books spanning 50 years. He has won many awards for his literary and screenwriting work for television, including the honor of the show. Some of his famous dramas are “Waris”, “Dehliz”, “Samandar”, “Raat”, “Vakt” and “Apnai Log”.
