The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has warned of power outages across the country.
The electricity regulator has directed the National Transmission and Transmission Company (NTDC) to submit a detailed report on the matter.
On Monday morning, most cities across the country were left without power due to an accident on high-voltage transmission lines. Power outages in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and the federal capital after the transmission lines of the Guddu power plant suffered a technical fault.
The Ministry of Energy said in a statement that the reduction in the frequency of the national grid system was reported at 7:34, adding that efforts to restore the power supply are ongoing.
