Lahore: The Governor of Punjab and the officials of the Election Commission could not agree on the date of the elections in the province.
According to the details, an important meeting was held in the Governor’s House under the chairmanship of the Governor of Punjab, in which the IG, Chief Secretary Election Commission, DG Election Commission and other officials also attended the meeting related to the conduct of the Punjab Assembly. Various aspects were also considered.
Sources say that the participants of the meeting presented their constitutional and legal proposals, while the participants of the meeting also agreed to seek clarifications on the decision of the Lahore High Court.
According to the sources, it has also been decided to apply to the Lahore High Court for the interpretation of this decision.
