Pakistan defeated India by 13 runs in the Women’s Asia Cup on Friday to beat the arch-rivals for the third time in T20 cricket. Nida Dar scored a half-century at crucial times and took two wickets to seal the win for her team. The Indian team came into the ring with a target of 137 runs and got bowled out after scoring 124 runs in the 20th over.

After the win, Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof said it was a crucial game for them after losing the day before. ”We did a great job with execution. Nida batted brilliantly. We like to take calculated risks. Nida gave us an important innings. We have gaps in the middle and we know Nida can’t hit, so we are looking to hit areas of strength.

The Pakistan captain said that they read the situation well today and executed the plans flawlessly. Harmanpreet Kaur, India’s captain, praised Pakistan for playing “good cricket” in the match they won. “We gave other batters a chance because that’s what you have to do when the event is going on,” he said, “but it failed.” We could not start taking singles and tilts strike in the middle overs.
