The Pakistan Navy said on Friday that two of its officers have been promoted to the rank of rear admiral with immediate effect, an official statement said.
According to the Directorate of General Public Relations (DGPR), Commander Khyber Zaman and Commander Shafqut Hussain Akhtar have been promoted to the rank of rear admiral.
Both the officers are graduates of National Defense University, Islamabad, Pakistan Naval War College, Lahore and have held various command and staff positions.
In 2021, both officers received the Star-l-lmtiaz (Military) for their services.
