During this, 106 people associated with PFI were arrested from different parts. NIA and ED raided members of PFI for terror funding, training camps and instigating people to join the organization. The special thing is that a conspiracy was being hatched through PFI to establish Ghazwa-e-Hind in Phulwari Sharif of Bihar. Where the NIA had recently raided. PFI was also giving arms training in the name of Karate training in Nizamabad, Telangana. The connection of PFI also came to the fore in Karnataka’s Hijab controversy and Praveen Nettru murder case.
106 people arrested from 10 states
The NIA conducted raids in all the states of the country including in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. More than 106 cadres have been arrested by the investigating agencies in collaboration with the state police in about 10 states. For the first time, PFI Chief Salam Pard has been arrested. This action is being told as the biggest action till date. Seeing this action, it seems that the time has come when the Modi government can ban PFI.
Most people arrested from Kerala
During this raid, maximum 22 people have been arrested from Kerala. After this, 20-20 people have been arrested in Karnataka and Maharashtra. After this, the maximum 10 arrests have been made from Tamil Nadu. Then 9 people were arrested from Assam, 8 from Uttar Pradesh, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 4 from Madhya Pradesh while 3-3 people were also arrested from Delhi and Puducherry. There have also been 2 arrests from Rajasthan.
