After launching the “first” Pink Peoples bus service in Karachi, the Sindh government on Monday announced that it will introduce the service in Hyderabad.
Sindh Information and Archives Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon while addressing a press conference in Karachi said that the pink bus service will be launched in Hyderabad on February 18.
He said that Pakistan is among the countries that provide separate transport services for women.
The Sindh Minister also announced the expansion of the routes of the Pink Bus Service in Karachi from February 20.
Calling Peoples Bus Service, one of the best services in the world, Memon said the expansion of Pink Service bus routes will help women passengers.
Earlier, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that he would launch a pink taxi service for women in Karachi.
“Government has decided to start toll service in Karachi under Sindh Mass Transit Authority,” he said, adding that pink toll service for women would be started in the first phase.
