Karachi: In Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10th match 8, Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs thanks to their excellent fielding.
In the match played at Karachi National Stadium, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and challenged Lahore Qalandars to bat, scoring 198 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Shai Hope led the way with 47 runs while other players Mirza Baig 31, Fakhar Zaman 22, Kamran Ghulam 21, Hussain Talat 26, Sikandar Raza 32, David Wiza 1 and Rashid Khan 11 can score.
For Quetta Gladiators, Qais Ahmed and Odin Smith guided 2.2 wickets, while Muhammad Hasnain and Muhammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
To reach the target, the Quetta Gladiators managed to score only 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Jason Roy scored 48 runs and Martin Guptill scored 15, Muhammad Hafeez 25, Iftikhar Ahmed 6, Muhammad Nawaz 2, Odin Smith 9, Sarfaraz Ahmed 16, Qais Ahmed 9 and Muhammad Hasnain 1.
On behalf of Lahore Qalandars, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Wisa led the way to the pavilion by bowling 3, 3 players while Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza took a wicket each.
