New Delhi: The government has said that the railways will not be privatised. The Minister of Railways said in Parliament that there is a lot of confusion about this, so the government wants to make it clear that the railways will not be privatised.

Railway Minister Ashwini Kumar Vishnu gave this information in response to a supplementary question in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He said that the government is renovating about 1,200 railway stations, and the construction works in 1,190 stations will be done entirely with state funds. There is no private contribution in this work. He said that if the government has a plan to privatize the railways and privatize it, there is no need to spend so much money on improving the railway stations.

In response to a question, the Minister of Railways said that the railways are developing in such a way that each station plays an important role in transport resources. The railway stations that are being built now will not be operational for 50 years. He said that in developed countries, such projects take three to four years, but the Indian government has set a target to complete these projects in two to three years.
