Asansol: Halishahar Township President and Trinamool Congress Leader Raju Sahani was not granted bail in the Burdwan Sanmarg chit fund case on Thursday. CGM Tarunkanti Mandal of Asansol District Court refused Raju Sahani’s bail and ordered him to remain in jail after lengthy questions and answers from lawyers on both sides. The CGM has ordered that the next hearing in this case be held on October 15. After former education minister Partha Chattopadhyay who was caught in the education sector corruption case, Anubrata Mandal who was caught in the cow smuggling case, Halishahar Township President will also spend Durga Puja in the jail.
