Regina Police Arrest Teenage Boy, Woman On Weapons Charges – ReginaTAZAA News

A 17-year-old boy and a 40-year-old woman were arrested Thursday after trying to run from police, according to a news release by the Regina Police Service.

A 17-year-old man was found driving the vehicle on multiple warrants, police said. Officers lost visual contact, but a short time later, police spotted the same vehicle, this time driven by a 40-year-old man.

She allegedly escaped when the police tried to drag her. The police noticed that the second vehicle was driving along with the first vehicle for about 20 minutes.

Around 2:30 pm, the woman was seen getting out of the vehicle and walking towards the second vehicle. When police challenged the woman, she climbed into the passenger seat of the second vehicle.

The driver tried to flee but police stopped the vehicle using a tire deflation device. A 40-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were removed from the vehicle and arrested.

Police found a gun while searching for the 17-year-old driver and also found several rounds of ammunition when they searched the vehicle.

The 17-year-old male was also charged with previous offenses including possession of a stolen vehicle and dangerous driving on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
