Self-serve lottery terminals will be available across Ontario next year, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says.

In a statement released on Tuesday, OLG said it plans to launch around 1,400 terminals in selected retail locations by 2023.

OLG will first “engage their retail partners and other industry stakeholders to proactively build support” and address questions about the new technology.

The corporation plans to start rolling out the terminals in the second half of 2023, subject to government approvals.

“Consistent responsible gambling messaging, as well as age-verification at point of purchase, will be fully integrated into self-service terminals,” the statement said.
