Jalaun (Uttar Pradesh): A contractor slashed a worker’s nose with a knife for asking for his dues.
Police have registered a case based on the victim’s complaint and the accused is currently absconding.
The victim Janamesh (50) is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
In the police complaint, Janamesh alleged that a local man, Lalu (35), hired him to work in his farm.
“After work, when I asked Lalu to give me Rs 2,000 as wages, he got into a heated argument with me,” he said.
Janamesh alleged that when he resisted, Lalu pushed him to the ground and pushed him down. “When I raised the alarm, he took a knife and cut my nose. After that he threatened that there will be dire consequences,’ said the victim.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Jalaun Ravi Kumar said that the matter has been taken seriously and an investigation has been started. A case has been registered against the absconding accused under relevant sections. We will arrest him soon,’ he said.
