Assistant Professor Mueed Rashidi, who is attached to the Department of Urdu, Aligarh University, in his Facebook message, shared the news of his recent meeting with Professor Ibni Kanwal and his death with great sadness. In this letter, he wrote: “In the afternoon, Professor Ibni Kanwal (former chairman of the Urdu department of the University of Delhi) of the Urdu department of the Aligarh Muslim University came for improvement. I was greeted at the door. He said with a laugh that he had another pleasure to come without saying.
