The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has decided to collect 76 billion rupees from the main consumers of electricity.
A statement from the Economic Coordination Committee meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dhar has been released, according to which an additional charge of one rupee per unit will be levied on large electricity consumers. This surcharge also applies to Kelectric customers.
ECC approved deferment of principal amounting to 283 billion 28 kroner for 2 years. The Ministry of Finance was instructed to guarantee a 2-year deferral of loan and interest payments.
The ECC has also approved a reduction in the prices of 20 other medicines, while the price of paracetamol will rise. It has been decided to fix the price of a 500 mg Paracetamol tablet at 2.6 rupees.
The price of a 500 mg tablet of Paracetamol Extra is fixed at 3.3 rupees.
