The Pakistan Hockey Federation has banned former Olympic and Pakistan national team captain Khawaja Junaid for life.
In last year’s Asian Cup match against Japan, 12 players were sent off, Pakistan could not qualify for the World Cup due to the goal being denied. Khawaja Junaid was the manager of the Pakistan hockey team in the Asia Cup.
Former PHF secretary Asif Bajwa had set up a committee to investigate the matter, Khawaja Junaid had tendered his resignation before appearing before the inquiry committee.
Secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation Haider Hussain once again requested the report of the committee, in the light of which Olympic athlete Khawaja Junaid was banned for life.

Hawaja Junaid said during the ban that I don’t want to quarrel and fight with anyone, when the work is over, I don’t know what was needed.
The former Olympian said that after head coach Ekman took over the responsibility, the work is over, my responsibility is no longer there, now the federation will decide whatever it wants.
