Islamabad: Ministry of Defense has apologized for providing Rangers and FC for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assembly elections and by-elections in 93 National Assembly seats.
According to sources, regarding the deployment of Rangers and FC outside constituencies, the Ministry of Defense has sent a letter to the Interior Minister saying that the Armed Forces and Civilian Armed Forces are engaged in border and internal security.
The Defense Ministry letter said that the threat of terrorism is increasing in the country, the armed forces will participate in the census process from February 27 to April 3. Placement is impossible.
The text of the letter to the Home Ministry said that the Punjab Rangers would be made available as a quick response force for the Rajanpur by-elections.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance has requested the Election Commission to postpone the request for additional grant for the election in the greater national interest.
