The Punjab Board of Revenue on Wednesday notified the suspension of the notification to grant devolution status to Gujrat till the elections are held.
The caretaker government of Punjab has given permission to suspend the notifications granting tehsil status to Tala Gang, Kot Addu and Wazirabad and the district to Murree.
Earlier, the government canceled the notification on granting the status of this district to Townsa Sharif. Former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi had agreed to give the district’s status to Townsa Sharif and share it with his native Gujrat.
