Islamabad (92 News) – Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani has said that PPP is commenting on the results of local body elections, Jamaat-e-Islami has been defeated in every by-election.
While talking to the media in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that it was surprising that Jamaat-e-Islami won 85 seats, the defeated candidate of Jamaat-e-Islami demanded a recount and rioted after seeing the defeat.
Said Ghani added that he requested the Election Commission to conduct a recount of the elections under his supervision, and he will accept the decision of the Election Commission on the counting of six USS.
On the other hand, the emir of the Islamic Jamaat Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman, says that the mandate of the Jamaat-e-Islami does not allow us to usurp it. If the people of Karachi have voted in favor of Jamaat-e-Islami, it is our duty to protect it. They don’t want to protest in the streets and get their rights.
He further said that the Sindh government is using delaying tactics, they will end corruption once they come to power.
