Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on the entire nation of Pakistan to help their Muslim brothers and sisters in Turkey and Syria as much as possible.
Based on these details, today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, a review meeting was held regarding assistance to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. Appreciating their good role in the aid efforts, the Prime Minister instructed them to further strengthen the relations between the Turkish government and the institutions of Pakistan.
It was said in the meeting that currently not only aid and rescue teams from Pakistan are reaching Turkey and Syria and helping in relief operations, while PIA continues to transport goods from Lahore and Islamabad to Turkey and Syria. In addition, in the next few days, convoys of vehicles carrying relief materials will go to Turkey and Syria through Iran.
At the meeting, it was also informed that the awareness campaign to help the victims of the earthquake is ongoing throughout the country. Relief funds can be deposited in Prime Minister’s Earthquake Relief Fund Account No. G-12166, while donations of other relief items can be deposited at any NDMA collection center. In this regard, NDMA has established 13 collection centers across the country, while these centers are being expanded in each district on the instructions of the Prime Minister. , socks, ready-made baby food, etc.
In the meeting, information was also given about Pakistan’s rescue teams, relief equipment and the current operation of the hospital with 30 beds. Another mobile hospital is being sent by Pakistan to Turkey and Syria to treat the injured.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, Chairman NDMA and Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey and other officials.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that I appeal to the philanthropists, industrialists and entrepreneurs of Pakistan to actively participate in the Prime Minister’s Fund for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. A high-level committee has been established to organize relief operations for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. Under the chairmanship of Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafik, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb are members of the committee. Education Minister Rano Tanveer Hussain, Religious Affairs Minister Mufti Abdul Shakur, Chairman of NDMA, Pakistani Ambassador and Special Assistant to Turkey and Syria Tariq Fatemi will also be members of this committee.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the daily meeting of the committee will ensure the delivery of relief goods to Turkey and Syria on a priority basis. DMA has established emergency collection centers in each district of Pakistan to help the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
