ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Kenyan President Dr. William Ruto on Monday.
During this contact, the prime minister raised the issue of the famous Pakistani journalist, the late Arshad Sharif, who was killed in Kenya. He thanked the President of Kenya for the cooperation given to the Pakistani investigative teams so far. The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to the case of the late Arshad Sharif and requested further cooperation from Kenya during the investigation to close the case for the family and people of Pakistan. The President of Kenya assured the Prime Minister of the country that he will fully support and cooperate in this matter. The heads of the two countries discussed bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual concern. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of Pakistan to its relations with Africa and expressed Pakistan’s strong desire to strengthen its historic ties with Kenya in all areas of cooperation.
