ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology Syed Aminul Haq said that now the population census has also been digitized, people should go to the portal and register themselves and their families.

He said this while speaking at the launch of self-enumeration portal at a local hotel in connection with digital census, which was attended by NADRA Chairman, Chief Census Commissioner and other senior officials including member IT.
The seventh census in the country will begin on March 1, 2023, for which a self-enumeration portal has been opened.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Syed Aminul Haq said that he is grateful to the Prime Minister for paving the way for the digital census, Ahsan Iqbal and Asad Umar also played an important role in this regard.
Population census will be conducted from March 1 to April 1
He said that in the digitization process, all the ministries and cabinets have been digitized, now the population census has also been digitized, if you don’t count yourself and your family, it will be your fault.
Federal Minister for Information Technology Syed Aminul Haq said that the credit of digital census belongs to MQM Pakistan.

He said that it will take one month for the digital census and four months for delimitation of constituencies.
Syed Aminul Haque explained that later the census teams will go door to door to verify the details and record them digitally.
Speaking at the event, Chief Statistics Officer Naim Al Zafar said that all stakeholders were consulted about the census and the census will not be made controversial.

Naim Al-Zafar said that the statistics agency has updated all its data, they will start the census from March 1 and will ensure transparency in the census.
