The international community actively participated in the aid. One million houses were destroyed by the floods, crops were damaged on four million acres. Thousands of kilometers of roads and communication systems were affected. About nine lakhs of goods and livestock were washed away in the flood. The UN Secretary General is calling a donor conference for flood victims.
He said that the donor conference can be held in any European country. Undersecretary Global Communication Melissa Fleming said that due to climate change, Pakistan has become a disaster victim of floods. Pakistan should be helped in difficult times.
