Karachi: International Cancer Awareness Day is celebrated on February 4 worldwide, including in Pakistan.
According to a press release of the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA), last year, 178,000 new cases of cancer were registered in Pakistan and nearly 100,000 people died from cancer.
Cancer awareness programs are organized across the country under the auspices of PEMA.
The PIMA webinar, which will be broadcast live on Facebook at 9:00 p.m., will be attended by prominent medical experts in the field of cancer treatment in the country.
Pima Central President Dr. Abdulaziz Memon, Dr. Muhammad Kasim, Iftikhar Barni and Dr. Abdul Rashid Wahab say that cancer is a curable disease. With timely diagnosis and comprehensive treatment, a deadly disease like cancer can be cured.
Medical experts emphasize that the risk of cancer can be reduced through a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.
