Ankara: The number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 46 thousand people.
According to the Turkish media, 40 thousand 642 people have been killed in Turkey and the process of removing the ruins continues, while 5 thousand 814 people have died in Syria.
Rescue operations are still ongoing in the affected areas and the death toll is expected to rise.
On the other hand, aid is being sent from all over the world for the victims of the earthquake, while Pakistan has sent aid to the victims in Turkey and Syria through airplanes.
The United Nations has requested one billion dollars to help the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said that this fund will provide humanitarian aid to 5.2 million people in Turkey for 3 months.
