The weather will turn bad again in North India next week. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in several states of North India on January 24 and 25.

There is more frost in the mountainous regions

Dr Soma Sen Roy, IMD scientist, said amid the impending Western Disturbance, the northern region of India may witness a rapid change in weather conditions. In the mountainous regions, the cold has increased since January 23, and its effects can be seen in the plains since January 24 and will last until January 25.

Rainfall forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
Dr Roy said that the sky will remain cloudy from the evening of January 24 and from then till the morning of January 26 there may be rain and drizzle over the plains. Heavy rain is likely to occur in Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during this period. He said that North India is expected to see at least a slight drop in temperature, but there will be no major change. However, in the second half of the week, an increase in the minimum temperature and a slight decrease in the maximum temperature are expected. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
